For each of the following scenarios think about:

a)                 How the corruption could be prevented, and

b)                 How the corruption should be responded to

CORRUPTION DURING THE VENDOR SELECTION PROCESS

1.                  You find your Procurement Manager demands a kickback (payment) from potential supplier to  secure contract or provide inside information on bid process

2.                  You find a potential supplier offers gifts and  entertainment to your  procurement manager

3.                  You find an employee in the purchasing department demands that supplier purchase  from a company owned by or related to customer employee

CORRUPTION DURING CONTRACT PERFORMANCE

4.                  You find a supplier submits false invoice for work done eg too many work hours

CORRUPTION INVOLVING BRIBERY OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS OR OTHER 3^rd PARTIES

        A Customs Official demands a bribe from a supplier to

speed goods through customs or to pass nonconforming goods through customs
